Wednesday Morning Meditations

As teachers, there is no substitute for our own experience. The only way to share the power of meditation is to learn and experience that power for yourself.
Meditation is the true heart of yoga, and yet we’re rarely given the tools we need to become effective meditators. A key aspect is left out – how to prepare our minds to accept the meditation. That makes it very hard to teach others how to access this profound skill. This style of meditation bridges the gap between our busy modern lives and the quiet, centered states we yearn for.
It prepares your mind and puts you in the right state to let the meditation work. Join us each Wednesday morning this month for a half hour guided meditation (including short asana and pranayama preparation) where you will see for yourself the missing steps that have kept you from working your way into the deeper states. And in the process, you will focus your mind, reduce your stress and come back toward balance.
Each month we focus the meditation around a different object – the sun, moon, trees, birds, waterfalls, tigers – each one brings out a different aspect of the meditation, and produces a different result. So each month you’ll experience a different facet of what the meditation has to offer.
